- This is in response to a request for recipes with 7-up. It's one the wife
- got from her mother, and though my wife hasn't made it yet, it's supposed
- to be easy. Also, the topping is what really "makes" the salad. (At least
- according to the wife! ;) )

- 7-UP SALAD
-
- Dissolve 6-ounce package lemon jello in 2 cups hot water, then add 2 cups
- 7-Up (or Sprite). Chill until partly set. (According to her mom, she
- skips this part and just does it all at once.) Add 2 cups drained (save
- juice), crushed pineapple and 3 diced bananas; chill until firm. Top with
- Topping.
-
- TOPPING
- Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons flour. Add 1/2 cup reserved pineapple
- juice, 2 tablespoons butter and one beaten egg. Cook until thick over
- medium heat, sturring constantly. The egg in this makes it very easy to
- scorch. When thickened, allow to cool. Fold in 1 cup whipping cream,
- whipped. Spread on top of frimly set jello.
